At the invitation of Contra Costa Chinese School. members of our center paid a visit to the school on January 23, 2010. Please see the letter below from the Contra Costa Chinese School and photos of that occasion.

GOLDEN CRANE SENIOR CENTER VISITED CHINESE SCHOOL
Five (5) Members of Golden Crane visited Contra Costa Chinese School on January 23, not to take refresher classes but to help build a bridge between the two organizations. The visist came after a request from the Chinese School. One quarter of their families have no Chinese language background. The hope is to find some "Chinese speaking grandparents" to adopt and help these students with their language skills. A wonderful time was had by both students and "grandparents" as everyone enjoyed a pot luck lunch as well as chance to meet, visit and learn. This will certainly be the first of many such gatherings.
