位於東灣阿拉莫（Alamo）的康鶴耆英中心戲劇班，在鍾維君老師(編劇與導演)的指導下，於一月十九日(星期六)晚間七時，演出了這一代的留學生的故事《不一樣的月亮》。畢業於台灣文化大學戲劇系的鍾維君曾經在電視台擔任導播。
參與演出的戲劇班同學，幾乎都是首次登台演出話劇。演出的地點是丹維爾（Danville）的小村戲場，能夠容納250人，已經滿座，終場後都報以熱烈掌聲，稱道演出的成功。當晚的嘉賓包括經文處李副處長、金山華僑文教中心葉主任、南灣華僑文教中心鍾副主任。
康鶴耆英中心的會員都是東灣康特拉科斯特縣（Contra Costa）的華裔居民，他們自行籌款設立了耆英中心，開設元極舞、音樂教室、舞蹈研習、卡拉OK、書法、國畫、瑜珈、太極拳、韻律操、戲劇、易筋拍打、合唱團、排舞等課程。鍾維君老師也在中心教授國畫課，該班的學生並在當晚於劇院前廳展出國畫作品。本報訊

GCSC got into the spirit of the season by hosting a pumpkin carving and decorating contest. Participants were divided into six groups; each group had unique and creative ideas for the competition. Prizes were given to the top three winners. Seven persons celebrated their October birthdays. Among them, Fragrance Liu reached her big ’70’ milestone. 十月份的聚餐多了一個有趣的節目:南瓜雕刻大賽. 六人一組, 各有不同的手藝, 都是精美可愛. 前三名得到獎品. 本月份的慶生會有七位壽星參加. 其中吳雪芳發表 ’70’ 感言, 並朗讀朋友們的祝壽詩.

2013 Town Hall Meeting
The 2013 Town Hall meeting and class presentation were held on September 30th. The event was well attended by Golden Crane regular participants and their friends. Stephen Lu was the MC for the meeting, he summarized the activities of the past year and invited suggestions for improvement for the coming year. Patrick was the MC for the class presentation in show-and-tell style. In addition, there was excellent exhibition on student works from classes including calligraphy, Chinese painting, origami, and photo shop. 康鶴耆英中心年度全体大會及課程作業展覽于九月三＋日舉行. 大會由魯肇煌主持. 主題是檢討過去及展望將來. 午餐後, 許國衝介紹各班, 並由學生表演精釆的節目. 書法, 國畫, 摺紙及攝影各班學生都有出色的成績展覽.

GCSC was invited to participate in the fund-raising event in Concord on 2/1/13. Our dance group performed Blue Hawaii dance under the direction of Rose Chen.
